DJT'S worst nightmare is being ignored.

As a Representative in the minority against a "Republican" government holding all three branches of government, what do you expect him to do?

If they ever read NPR, DJT and Co. would interpret that caption as a challenge.

It would be joyous news if we weren't all along for whatever Mad Hatter ride this administration will keep us on as they implode.

It's just a dusty piece of parchment with nice handwriting if no one reads it or has the will to enforce its principles among those in power.

I mean, the Dems did prosecute the current president, "most" Americans didn't care, and elected him President anyway.

"Donald Trump celebrated his birthday yesterday on the taxpayers dime, spinning it thinly as a celebration of the Army's 250th anniversary" there, we fixed the headline for accuracy.

Israel's already made this a US problem, and DJT and Co. will gleefully get involved if it means growing the MAGA brand and/or their bank accounts.

The "libpowner" OP was suggesting Padilla would be a convicted felon. I'm familiar with DJT's many well-earned convictions. Thanks.

A convicted felon for what?

It's the "asking a question" part that scared her security staff 😅

Our definition of "charge" seems different. Perhaps if KN wasn't overseeing state-sponsored kidnappings and terroristic LEO activities in CA she wouldn't have to fear being asked questions by a sitting Senator.

DJT doesn't care about anything but the grift, and too many of our Congresspeople are complicit.

Ultimately, we all want the same thing, which is DJT and co. to fail, and for them and theirs to gtfo of CA. We're debating methods at this point.

Non-violent resistance =\= peaceful. What are GN's alternatives? We don't have the resources to repel a full-on assault militarily, and we've seen DJT isn't above doing that. We essentially have three levers of resistance: the courts, our taxes, and the Court of Public Opinion.
comment in response to
post
True. The OP seems to suggest GN is doing the latter, while I suggest his team is trying to be methodical so as to maintain a strong legal foundation and give DJT as little pretense as possible to escalate or spin the narrative beyond what they're already doing.

Even the LAPD is differentiating between demonstrators and agitators. I'd bet the "agitators" cited are the agitators, not the demonstrators.
comment in response to

So would you want to give DJT a reason to declare our state insurrectionist and order a fuller military deployment? Alone we lack the resources to repel that action, and I wouldn't put it past DJT to try it if he thought he could justify it.
comment in response to

You claimed he criticized the protestors. I would like to know where he did so. He and his team need to dot the ayes and cross all tees to avoid giving DJT what he wants: a (perceived) reason to escalate.
comment in response to
post
Can you point to where GN blames the protestors in his comms? I've seen him calling for non-violence and abiding by the law here on BS, so as to avoid giving DJT a reason to escalate.

I just asked who you feel is better equipped to manage this crisis.
