I'm convinced the stuff comes off my pan easier if I do the wash-and-scrape immediately, taking a blast of steam to the face every time.
My pan's just stainless steel - is the temperature shock bad there, or are you talking about the ones with coatings?

On the bio/psych side, a red-faced person might be worked up but they aren't really thinking about fighting. If they were their sympathetic nervous system would light up and they'd go pale.

Alberta still has some coal-capable plants, but in summer 2024 our last coal-only (one of the Genesee units) was refitted so it can also burn natural gas.
