My research covered late 19th and early 20th century. Edward Dewey wrote The No Breakfast Plan in 1900 and shortly thereafter, Upton Sinclair wrote of the benefits of therapeutic fasting and the plant based diet. Then there were folks like Sylvester Graham and Kellogs who had other ideas.

So many, discovered this path around 2011 with Dean Ornish, T Colin Campbell, Joel Fuhrman. In 2014, I was accepted into Cal Berkeley and majored in the History of Science, concentrating on Alt. Medicine...so much research, can't even begin to list...

Over ten years on whole foods plant based. Went from 230 to 160 22 bmi then found Dr Greger a few months ago. Lost 20 more pounds to reach the ideal Bmi of 20 or so.
