100% agree.
Everything is more expensive. Public services are falling apart. Homes are hard to get.
People, especially the younger who've had it the worst, are going to start asking "Is there a better way?". So yeah, don't blame them.

Forcing my Macbook to run Spring Integration tests with TestContainers at the same time as running jest tests.
If it survives, I'll have saved a bunch on my heating bill.

Though very happy there are so many tests. Even nested JUnit tests, which is a feature I'd totally forgotten about.

I found myself taking two kinds of notes:
1. The more documentation kind
2. A conscience stream of what I'm doing
I found "traditional" note apps weren't really cutting it, so I built one!
