We have three cats and floorboards throughout the house. One of them could kill us in our sleep. The other two could wake the dead.

My teenage kids use it. Seems to be related to Minecraft, mostly.

More on this to come from me (at least in my writing and work). So many thoughts on this I'm not sure what to reply here. This part felt right: I care about and will always care about your daughters and won't stop fighting for a world where they have less threat and mere survival and more thriving

Anyway, that was about me and not the topic directly. What do you think we should be talking about more? How can people like me do more?

I’ve spent the last decade focusing on the psychology of individuals, teams, dynamics, safety, etc. My background lends me credibility (sadly necessary), but what I care about is helping organisations understand there are more effective ways to operate. Sometimes feels like pissing in the wind tbh.

We have 3 kids, 2 daughters, all of them very much into technology. Given the state of misogyny, racism, and structural inequality, I find it hard to encourage them to enter the field, but we will support them if they choose to. We remind them it’s a systemic issue, and not about them.

3) Most of these Silicon Valley VCs don't know anything. They don't even know how money works. Seriously.
That's why they crashed their own bank, and spent the past 5 years throwing money after crypto and NFTs, while China invested in solar panels, battery tech, drones, and low cost EVs.

I’m a 52 yo white dude. I’ve been in tech since I was a kid. It was going to be the great equaliser, and instead seems have been instrumental in widening inequality. I’m sick of having arguments with men about “meritocracy”. Ugh. Sorry. I honestly wish I knew what to do about it. It’s awful.

Yeah. Feel bad now for possibly concern trolling. Sorry. I work in tech and have 3 teenage kids so found it hard to not empathise with them.

Appreciate not the point however, AI detectors are generally speaking garbage and have led to many students unfairly penalised. Not to say your instinct on this paper isn’t correct. More, I wouldn’t rely on that tool as any kind of validation.

Trump is POTUS today in part because:
1) So many Black men were so disgusted with Biden that they would've stayed home. 11th hr Switch to Harris.
2) Most white Dems still don't know why Black men were even upset🤷🏿♂️
3) Dems cannot win without these Black votes. Because 50%+ of white voters, vote GOP

I agree with the general sentiment. At the same time, that one conman only got away with it because of the people enabling him.
