Possibly the best, condensed representation I've given of myself creatively:

this is what writing a pitch feels like.

I'm not formally educated in music, so most of my knowledge of western music theory is from videos and osmosis, and it's always a struggle when I try to search for examples of a thing I'm doing. I'm not doing anything particularly special, but music search results have so many damn false positives.

I needed a way to quickly distinguish my normal business account from the account for specific GDQ stuff, and this is how you know I'm simply hilarious.

why does this keep happening

I do genuinely try to be good about NDAs, and I don't think I've ever broken one in any meaningful way, but it probably says a lot about me that I treat a friend going "don't go talking about this" easily 10x more seriously than any document I've ever put my name on.

I'm definitely writing murder mysteries wrong. I know the story I want to tell, but I don't have the mystery details figured out, so I throw stuff in while writing, and then try to connect or twist those details together retroactively. I'm sure I'm going to write myself into a corner at least once.

Probably a long shot, but: Is there anyone I know in or around Melbourne—can even be much further out—who is either looking for housemates or looking for people to move with sometime in the coming months?

THANK YOU FOR BEING MY FRIEND!!!!!!!! @pringusmcdingus.bsky.social

i'm furious today. i'm furious at destiny, of course, but i'm furious about inequality. i'm furious about the way that destiny uses angry, traumatised, poor men against queer people and the way that conservatives feed that violence so they don't have to get their own hands dirty.

Ah, the joy of making a song for a game where there's only a 50/50 chance of it getting used, because the result goes TOO hard.

i'm doing my part

I just out loud went "Oh no..." in a pitying way when realizing the extent of the tragedy and knife-twisting I'm setting up a character for in my writing. Sadly, he must hurt for the sake of the story. 😢

I generally try to follow conventional written grammar rules, and I'm definitely someone who likes using varied punctuation—em dashes, my beloved—but I honestly do not understand why anyone would fuss over comma splices. They don't even look wrong most of the time!
