Egyptian Arabic word of the day: طنِّش ṭánnish "Forget about it, screw it." Fem. ṭanníshī Pl. ṭanníshū A similar term is "ṭuẓẓ". ṭánnish is closer to "forget about it" and "ṭuẓẓ" is closer to "screw it."

I think the primary reason I can't listen to podcasts is all of the tangents. Trying to listen to one about horror movies and the 2 podcasters are just going on about the beer they're drinking, and it's like yeah I don't really wanna listen to two friends hanging out?

This is more complex. Working in the ins. industry is prestigious among some social circles and looked down on in others. In finance-heavy & wealthier, it's seen as a worthy, upper class career. Among more academic and socially focused career circles, it's viewed as a waste of a life.
