Returned to Harrow/ Harrow Weald yesterday for first time since late October 24 and ... distressing news! In the intervening months, someone's swiped the Haunted bench on Weald Lane! When did this happen? Has it been taken for repairs? Is it coming back? Maybe @harrowonline.org will know? #anxiety

Also sighted at #BentleyPriory, a lady in a green dress searching for her baby whose corpse had been dug up. NB:, green Lady below has zero to do with #Stanmore & allegedly haunts the Golden Lion, St. Ives. I don't have a photo of the BP model, worst luck.

Haunted #Stanmore. Following the death of her husband, William IV, in 1837, Queen Adelaide, aunt of Victoria, lived at #BentleyPriory until her death in 1839. Thereafter, according to a source at the RAF air base, her ghost was known to "flit from room to room" as late as Oct. 1997

R. S. Brown's 'Histories of HarrowWeald Highways: vol 2' (1975) includes entries on #WealdLane #BoxtreeLane #LocketRd #WealdRise #HibbertRd #FisherRd etc. Does anyone know if Mr. Brown is still with us? His booklets are a joy.
