It’s not JUST that this stuff is a direct attack on our livelihood; it’s also SO BORING, low effort & predictable. Like you see the first one and it’s like, OK, yawn, I get it, action figure plus things you like, now I have to see 700 more of these today.

I use cheap ass “Blick Masterstroke Golden Taklon” round #2 Buy em 5 at a time. Use printmaking paper not bristol. Something about the slower drag of the brush works for me. Most of this is just habit and what I had around that worked / could afford / got used to.

I would love to do an entire book about this stuff. Hunt down logo sketches and mockups. Interviews with designers, etc. The problem is only like 4 other people are interested 🤣. Also I lean into the obscure. Like, I dont want Crystal Pepsi and Fruitopia on the cover. But thats what sells books 🤣
