Probably going to do a track tier list this week but MK World has maybe the most improved retro track ever for me in Sky-High Sundae and the biggest downgrade of a Retro Track in Wario Shipyard. I’m getting used to the water controls but Wario Shipyard is just a mess.

Mario Kart World is probably a top 10 gaming soundtrack of all time and I’m not even kidding I’ve teared up so many times from how many songs that have never been remixed officially before got remixes It’s like what Smash does for every franchise, but for the entire Mario and Mario adjacent series

Man, Mario Kart World is the most fun I’ve had with the series since Mario Kart DS. The contextual world and grounded world, the soundtrack (dear god the soundtrack) knockout tour, and free roam are all so much fun. I wish Free roam, tracked completion, but I still enjoy it.

A couple random positive thoughts on MK World - I’m astounded at how much Yoshi’s Island music got new remixes - Sky High Sundae was terrible in MK8, but is FANTASTIC in World - The Open World is addictive, BOTW vibes honestly - Character/Kart balancing feels, well, balanced!

Finished The Last of Us Season 2 The game absolutely tells this part of the story better, but there were some highlights. The raid on Jackson was an awesome original set piece, and I like how Jesse was handled/ fleshed out. The last episode cut so much from Seattle day 3, and felt very rushed.

Been playing Majora’s Mask 3D lately. I never actually finished this version back in the day, as I was super mixed on the changes. While I still don’t feel all of them are for the better, I’m having a blast and feel confident saying this is the better version.

Been thinking about the story a lot. I think peaks in the mid-game. The ending (without spoiling anything) didn’t hit as hard as I was hoping. I also feel some parts of the game, like the platforming segments, are not good. I loved it overall though, and it’s a great first game for the studio!

Now that I have finished Xenoblade X definitive edition’s epilogue, I think I can conclude that it is still my least favourite Xenoblade title. However, DE cleans up A LOT about the Wii U version, and is a great game - there’s no weak Xenoblade game at this point! 3 still remains the best for me!

(Spoiler free) Just watched the first episode of The Last of Us Season 2. It’s a very well made show, but without saying anything, there’s some narrative rearrangements and changes that I straight up, don’t like. I’m someone who never had a problem with TLOU 2’s story for context.
