I used to make a lot of comics. I have two cats! I read a bunch. I became an American citizen so I could vote against that former guy.

I recently bought this awesome shirt to rep my horseshoe bros in The Villas and while it's not super gothy it's very niche

They sometimes wash up on their backs and can't turn themselves over and if kindly people don't flip them over then, like vampires, they will be killed by the sun

Do you think the girl is intended to look like Patsy Walker, or are they both drawing from some other archetype?

Always appreciate seeing somebody mention Gwendoline Riley. Sick Notes was a touchstone for me in the early 2000s.

"He sees a ghost, then pretends he's gone doolally, then he stages a play."
"What?"
"Also one of our wealthy patrons backed us on Globestarter at the max tier so we've got to have a cameo for him."
"Does he act?"
"Doesn't matter, he died last week so we're just gonna have Hammy chat to his skull."

People may occasionally face the consequences of their actions, but do not worry: they will singularly fail to learn anything from this.

Well, once they held that lottery then it was all downhill from there.

I think it was close to "Given that we both live in Glasgow there's always a chance I'll run into Mark Millar again, and hopefully I'm going 100mph when it happens."

Like, the camerawork puts us into the scene as a voyeur and makes us feel like we're listening in on a private moment, instead of being a detached outside viewer. It's genius.

There's one beautiful scene where Mifune is arguing with his employee, but the camera stays at the table in the foreground with the cops he was talking to. We can't see the faces of Mifune or his employee as they argue in the background, but we get to watch the cops silently reacting to the argument

I'm thrilled about this but seeing the two books side by side like that makes me worry about how large the typeface will be on the title of the third book

That scene in Pulp Fiction where Travolta is horrified by a five dollar milkshake except it's a $500 milkshake and also it tastes bad

The joy of comics is you can make something real and truthful and profound or you can make fart jokes, or you can do both at the same time! There's really no way to do it wrong.
Well... okay, I guess we learned this week there's at least *one* way to do it wrong. But still.

I think you're selling her short. She also writes terrible books for adults.

As a kid, when the news would talk about weapons or drugs being bought 'on the black market' I thought it was in the same place as a regular market but open at night instead of during the day

I used to watch it with my parents when I was a kid in the late '80s through the '90s, and binged the entire 30+ year run about 5 years ago. It's brilliant.

My guess: one of the puzzles in the game would require you to not play for several days in order for your character to unlearn something, so the more you tried to figure it out the more you delayed your ability to progress
