But all the controversy about the Gaelic names not being researched properly (I’m a language nerd who’s also 56% Scottish), the second and third books being progressive let downs… I’m expecting to just read the first one to say I did it, and probably look for synopses of the others hahaha 😭

Every review about the series makes me want to read it less 😅 I got the first one at its peak popularity on TikTok, and my partner ended up reading the first two books and says they aren’t his favorite either. I feel like I’m obligated to at least give the first one a shot 😭 just because I bought it

Maybe a mix of short-form videos (YouTube shorts, even though the system isn’t the same as TikTok maybe it’ll help get a foot in the door), and some regular longer uploads as well? I’m playing with the idea still myself so that’s all I’ve got atm 😅

As a girl who’s completely overhauled her socials presence because of the recent bullshit, I so get it - I’m building my presence on here, Tumblr, and I’ve set up a discord for my existing readers - but I’m looking into building a YouTube, too! Maybe try that? The algorithm might be more consistent!

Just starting to play around with it - I love the privacy, buying more premium features is more expensive than Google was but I’ll spring for it at some point maybe lol. I'm in the process of editing all the "fanfiction" out of it to make it publishable - then I'll send it to an editor, and my goal is to at least START the publishing process by the end of this year. A more comprehensive author's note will be posted on my fanfic on AO3 at the end of this week!

So I'm going to build my presence on here and Tumblr (honeybeeraeofficial), as well as (hopefully) Pixelfed, if the app manages to update a bit to accommodate for the amount of people flocking to it from Insta right now.
