This is humor but there’s a large segment on Elon’s Twitter with large followings that actually believe this (and don’t believe the Holocaust happened).

Extremely American host @hdruzin.bsky.social recently returned to Moscow, Idaho to give a talk about Christian nationalism and how American theocrats are now closer than ever to getting positions of power at the highest echelons of government. Listen to it here ⬇️

The no foreign entanglements crowd has very quickly changed to regime change and potential military action to take over other countries. I'll tell you first hand from years as a reporter in Iraq and Afghanistan that this tends to work out well.

Ah, the freedom of speech absolutist crowd strikes again.

Man, @duffelblog.com is so brutally funny & on point. WASHINGTON — The newly commissioned Department of Government Efficiency has announced plans to triple veteran suicide rates in an effort officials say will cut government spending & reduce the federal deficit. www.duffelblog.com/p/doge-says-...

This 1000%. Got high hopes for Bluesky, but it can't remain an echo chamber if it's gonna be relevant.

The guy making major govt decisions right now just retweeted Idaho white supremacist Vincent James. James was active in Rise Above Movement, who were fond of the neo-Nazi slogan “14 words.” What the SA politician is saying is disgusting but you don’t need Foxx to make that point.

If you wanna know the political climate in Idaho right now, we have a Nazi-adjacent state GOP delegate (Reilly) who helped organize the deadly Charlottesville white supremacist rally calling for the execution of healthcare workers. #idpol #idleg

If only there was some way for the owner of X to have known ahead of time about the racist post’s his staffer made on … X.

Had a great conversation with Rick Outzen, of InWeekly, about far-right Boise State professor Scott Yenor, his recent university board appointment in Florida and Christian nationalism in a second Trump term. ricksblog.biz/daily-news-y...

Huge if true! (it is, in fact, true!) npr.org/podcasts/510381/extremely-american

Political activist Casey Whalen and some others on Idaho’s far right are becoming increasingly openly anti-Semitic. He also does work for white nationalist Dave Reilly, who has a long history of anti-semitism and a key role in the deadly Charlottesville United the Right rally.

What JD Vance is saying & the Pizzagate guy is excited about are pretty common Christian nationalist talking points about immigration I've heard from CN leaders. A lot of the folks who make those talking points also don't consider Catholics real Christians (Vance is Catholic).

Itching for more Extremely American? You should probably see a doctor about that. But also, there's a new bonus episode fresh out of the audio oven today! It's a post-election discussion about Christian nationalists & what we might expect from them after Trump's victory. www.npr.org/podcasts/510...

There’s a back & forth on the Far Right about the white supremacist group Partriot Front. Some are like, “They must be feds because conservatives aren’t Nazis!” & then a growing chorus is like, “Hey, don’t call those fine upstanding Nazis Feds! They’re real & they’re spectacular!”

Fresh off 2 apparent Nazi salutes at an inauguration event, Elon Musk tells Germans they shouldn't worry so much about the Holocaust & their country's Nazi past while addressing = far-right anti-immigrant German political party the AfD, which has had it's own ties to neo-Nazis. x.com/BarakRavid/s...

What did the Fraternal Order of Police think was gonna happen when they endorsed the guy who said very clearly he was going to pardon people who viciously assaulted cops while trying to overthrow the government? Are they surprised? He did what he said he would do.

Elon Musk, who welcomed neo-Nazis to Twitter after he bought it, gives what sure looks like a Nazi salute - twice - at Trump's inauguration. And the crowd goes wild. Neo-Nazi accounts are excited, too.

Hard to overstate how important it is to many on the right to use these two words as insults without people getting upset. I see this sentiment all the time - there are even memes devoted to it. Super important to put down gay people and those with developmental disabilities.

Oh… x.com/charliekirk1...

Wow, Extremely American is #8 on Apple Podcasts Top Series right now!

Extremely American & yours truly featured on @npr.org's Up First Sunday today. www.npr.org/2025/01/12/1...

Mike Cernovich & Jack Posobiec, two of the guys who helped radicalize Welch by promoting the Pizzagate conspiracy, are treated like normal political commentators by many on the right to this day. RNC even had Posobiec mentor poll watchers this election. www.nytimes.com/2025/01/09/u...

The president-elect called a Supreme Court justice just as he was asking the court to delay his sentencing & it's not even the biggest political story of the day. I'm seeing a concerning collective shrug building in the U.S. www.nytimes.com/2025/01/08/u...

Strange start for the supposed anti-war candidate.

At the Idaho Capitol today, anti-Semitic conservative political activist David Pettinger apparently dressed in brown face to make fun of former GOP prez candidate Vivek Ramaswamy. #idleg #idpol

OK, deleted my last thread because I got something wrong. Apologies. Casey Whalen posted it but it was actually a different conservative activist in the racist costume. Going to update soon.

There are many things I love about Idaho, but the wildlife is up there. Ran into this guy a little over an hour from Boise.
