It appears it was all about eliminating environmental and safety restrictions on his current projects, eliminating competition and appropriating data for future governmental projects that he didn’t win. It was, as always, a grift for a person with bottomless greed and a savior complex

There’s a bill in congress that would give him the out if that’s what he’s looking for… it would give congress the power to lapse the tariffs within 60 days if they don’t approve.
