Work: 8 hours Sleeping: 8 hours Disassociating after looking at the news: 20 hours Can someone who's good with organisation help me with this? I can't seem to find the time.

If you have paid subscriptions on Substack, you are asking your readers to take a portion of their money to fund racist, antisemitic, and anti-trans speech. Substack takes ten percent of people’s revenue and then gives it to people like Bari Weiss who said Nazi salutes aren’t really Nazi salutes.

Feeling sad/angry/betrayed today that the solve for so many companies for the problem of their developers not having any accessibility experience/knowledge/technical-know-how is to throw it over to AI to occasionally partially fix (or make worse) instead of hiring someone to properly fix it.

What an awesome thing to do. I legit got emotional when I read it.

What are the scenarios where chrome can't determine the color contrast of an item? I get "No contrast information available" for elements that have a color/background set explicitly on them.

due to personal reasons I have decided to be evil now. Thank you for understanding

Trying to complete ?? Zekvir on my shadow priest pissed me off, I just won't be getting that achievement before season 2 lol

Congestion Relief Zone tolling is on track to generate $500 million in its first year! This will fund projects like making more stations accessible, installing modern signals, buying zero-emission buses, and more. See the numbers: www.mta.info/press-releas...

And THEN. AND THEN. They'll have a link titled "the European Accessibility Act" and if you're not familiar with these companies, you might think "cool, they're linking to the official documentation for this" but, no, in reality it's all just links to their own site with their own summary

If you are at all trying to find the latest text of EN 301 549 (which is like, the technical criteria for the European Accessibility Act) you are just bombarded with links from consulting companies

Well, it is time to stop using @bitlyofficial.bsky.social because they have plastered one of those "Accessibility" overlays on their website from UserWay.

NEW YORK (AP) — Roberta Flack, Grammy-winning singer known for 'Killing Me Softly With His Song' and other intimate hits, dies at 88.

Still only 40 degrees but I'm still opening the window and deluding myself into thinking it's spring.

Here is the axe-con schedule for this week. www.deque.com/axe-con/sche... #a11y #axeCon2025

Is it warm enough today that all of Brooklyn will go outside together? I love when we do that. Go outside and you're seeing EVERYONE in the neighborhood you haven't seen in weeks because we've been avoiding the cold.

Surprised how much I'm enjoying Avowed (I just haven't been able to get into a single player RPG in a long time, not because there aren't a bunch of good ones on the market). Story seems great so far, great voice acting, world design is wonderful.

It's a good night for frozen margaritas because the brain freeze is also helping my sinus pain lmao

Delighted to realize my work slack has giphy enabled so I can continue the gif posting expertise that @dbanks.design taught us.

Getting on LinkedIn makes me mad as hell. So many good people looking for work right now because "leaders" thought "move fast and break things" was the only way to build a company. Having previously worked in an org that operated like that, it just means you quickly make shit products.

I just found a very niche use for css attr() and my fear is that it is TOO clever (which I feel like is almost always a bad thing when writing code) but man it is VERY CUTE that we have such neat things in CSS now

One of the biggest cryptocurrency exchanges in the world just lost $1.4 billion (with a B) to a hack. This is 5x as much as the previous largest exchange hack in history.

Every time I splurge a little on something it seems like it backfires in some way. Why is it so hard to spend my stupid little dollars on things that last a reasonable amount of time (I mean I know why, capitalism sucking every last drop out of us it can, but yeah, still annoying)

Honestly, mastodon is lucky they don't have quote posts because I have zero issues being mean to reply guys on the internet these days. Probably because I have twice as many followers over there but lately some of the replies are bewilderingly annoying
