Man this brought back memories. My mom and aunt were religious about saving their Marlboro points for shopping in the catalog.

I love a nap. Anything less than 90 minutes is not a nap to me. It takes me at least 20 minutes to fall asleep.

I would reply that I would happily drop them off and pick them up when service is over.

Same! I was 17 and a friend let me borrow their Sims 1 disc and I was immediately obsessed.

And yes, I know there are so many people, especially trans and BIPOC, who have it much worse right now, but this is just one more thing in the bucket of suck that is making it much harder for me to try to stay positive.

I would hope so, but since a good chunk of the military supports Trump, I'm not optimistic.

It didn't take long for the Nazis to expand past their borders....

and I started the process over again. (When I was 12 I got my own VCR and could make my own recordings, which I promptly watched 24/7) It took me until I was 38 to figure out I was Autistic. 😆🤦‍♀️ #ActuallyAutistic

I normally only have to reach for it to stop an anxiety feedback spiral when it comes to physical health symptoms, and it's very helpful.

This is my favorite trick to share. And I used it myself just the other day.

It really is! I'd love to do more than I am right now, but some days were just trying to survive.

Nope, it's in the same town as the Costco. I'm rural, I'm 45 minutes away from the closest Walmart even.

Meaning that you drive six hours to go shopping there? I could only do that once every few months with it being three hours away, and I don't have the kind of storage space or money that would require.

That's about what we have, plus Aldi, some farmers markets, and a farm to table store which has a teeny selection and is really expensive. I would love to shop there but can't afford it. I use aldi as much as I can.

Yeah, same.

My nearest Cosco is 3 hours away. 🫤

I've found that reddit is all about how you curate your list of communities. I have a good list, and I stay out of really popular subs. Otherwise, yeah, it's a cesspool.

My kiddo has been very happy with a certain store brand nuggets for a long time and last time the breading was different and they have been off chicken nuggets ever since. The struggle is real.

Okay, so false alarm on the water pipes. They must have JUST frozen when we caught it and we're able to get them going again by running hot water through all the pipes. But it also means I'll be staying up all night to keep the heaters going and the faucets dripping. When is spring again?

We aren't. It's going to be a long four years. 🫤

Happiness comes when you learn to stop expecting things and just take what you have as enough. Anything else i could have would only add to this, anything I wished for could only ruin it. Perfect is the enemy of the languidly contented awe. The kids breathe loudly and discordant and it's enough.

That sounds painful AF, friend.

Either a good crispy fried bologna with mayo on toast or a fresh out of the garden sliced tomato sandwich with cheese on crusty bread.
