Won my game of yarn chicken on the train to Portland! First time knitting w hand spun yarn. It’s a soft wool from sheep at Warm Valley Orchard on Orcas Island, WA. Sorry no pattern to share - it’s my own Selbu test design. Blocking next. 🎉🧶

What are your favorite one skein knit or crochet projects? I was gifted a bag of single skeins, 50g or 100g each, and am planning to suggest one-skein projects for my students with these (I advise the knit/crochet club at my college). Mostly wool and wool blends DK and sport. #knitsky #knit 🧶

Just knit this modified Alaska Beanie for a friend’s bday. Some see a sunset behind the trees, but as a climate scientist (the friend is a scientist too) this color scheme reminds me of the climate exacerbated forest fires raging in CA.
