Most bigotry doesn't come in the form of lynchings and gas chambers. It takes the form of "reasonable" people solemnly shaking their heads and saying how bad they feel for the people being harmed while making every excuse for why the harm is necessary.

I love these places but always leave with a bit of the ick from the misgendering I get. At the same time my wife is nonbinary and it brings me such joy on the rare occurrence that someone gets their pronouns right without prompting.

Thank you for writing about this. I’m a trans woman. I work on a construction site. I’m in PPE so can’t present femininely. I never get misgendered at work. When I go to queer affirming spaces with allies all around I can count on being misgendered via they/them.

A trans woman complimented my earrings once. They were small hoops with captive beads not particularly femme earrings . My egg was cracked before this happened but I was still closeted and not transitioning. I will never forget that compliment. I felt like she could see the real me somehow.

Which lives does changing sex save? Our fucking lives. We're Transsexuals. The population of people who didn't need a research study to prove that transition saves lives.
We exist and our need for self expression is cute and hot and if you don't like it you can scroll on.

Under current rules, all gender markers on federal documents are self selected and can be corrected with no legal or medical proof or any other documents changed so go get these gender markers corrected as soon as you can today or tomorrow

You can do it. It’s a big surgery and healing takes time. There’s pain but they will manage that in the hospital and you will have meds for when you go home. Full disclosure I opted for minimal depth and my wife was able to wfh I’m the early days of my recovery so I had great support at home.

I’ll be at work so I’ll be busy. I’m sure I’ll look at social media/the news. As soon as I see it I’ll nope out and end up listening to music or a book to ignore it for the rest of the day.

I really loved this episode. It was a wonderful moment to slow down and listen to you talk about a tarot card pull. I’ve gotten out of the habit of doing pulls for myself. I should use this as motivation to start again. Kitty purrs at the end are always appreciated!

Trans women should be allowed to win medals and athletic scholarships, and neither of those happening are proof that trans women have some kind of unfair advantages. To prove unfairness you would have to show us overperforming and being overrepresented, but the actual facts show the exact opposite.

I feel this so hard. It’s like spending over 40 years of my life either not understanding who I was or hiding who I was didn’t lend itself to learning how to cultivate lasting friendships.
