I joined the Edmonton Filipino community at the candlelight vigil for the victims of the Lapu Lapu Festival tragedy this week. It was a heartbreaking event but I was grateful that our community could come together to share our collective grief and pain.

I joined an amazing crew of volunteers to clean up the Forest Heights neighbourhood this morning! Together we pulled 14 shopping carts, furniture, and many bags of litter and garbage out of the ravine. It was hard work but very rewarding! I’m so proud of our community!
