I actually agree, heavily, though I wasn't around in this time period enough for that to have weight. When my parents speak of the 70s-90s era, it just seems like they had way more fun, and people were generally kinder + less miserable to one another. I feel like society is going backwards.

That's understandable. One of the only good things about this generation is that we have the freedom to dislike what we choose with no repercussions. I'm glad we have that choice now. Culturally, nose rings can be really sensitive as well, so I'm not a fan, either.

I believe nose rings and tattoos can be very beautiful features. However, I also believe women were much prettier back in this era, because the beauty standard felt more focused around having fun and a loveable character. Now it's more about waist to hip ratios + unrealistic beauty standards.
