Maybe if we convince Brendan some of this stuff will be arriving in the mail, he'll go on Decoder and get dunked on 1 hour straight

I see! I would happily throw a few $$ for a skin though 💖

I'm quite serious - if the UI looked like this, I'd likely use the plugin more haha. Are there any plans to update the style?

I reallllly wish the UI actually looked like this

Dropping in to recommend everyone listen to their latest album. Opens with a banger, follows with another.

Thank you! What would that allow though? You have to make your own apps etc to put in there?

Can someone explain to a pleb who loved hos Zune HD what this does?

Randomly found The Week in Nintendo and loving it so far! You guys should plug your socials in your shows though, and put Bluesky-links in the podcast descriptions outside of youtube. Randomly found The Week in Nintendo and it took me finding the show on youtube to find the accounts of the hosts.

Listening to Cozy Gloomy right now, loving it so far! Welcome 😊 I love when music feels open and huge.

Things have been okay for him, except that he's a zombie now

To me, nerdjpg is an abstract pink Kirby image posting witty banter. This is how I was forced to consider the fact that this funny internet personality could have a gender. People are weird as hell.

Wow, time flies. I remember you joining made me feel like The Verge finally had someone who really could do high quality reporting on MSFT. I appreciate your work, and look forward to following it in the future 😊

This stock photo is funny as hell. Is le fedora wearing mix engineer struggling? Poor thing.

Mixed bag for me. I just tapped the top trending topic, which was South Korea, and immediately understood what it was about. But yesterday Nintendo trended and I could not figure out why 🤷♂️

I have a love/gate relationship to it. Last time I mastered I was so sick of it that I tried using my regular DAW instead, but then I remembered why I wanted wavelab in the first place. Regular DAWs just aren't made for mastering work lol

This giant S is awful cozy with the line beneath it..is this intentional? Happens to other articles too.

Check the article posted earlier in these comments. Short answer: no. Main stories and some other stuff remains free, in-depth stuff will likely be paywalled. They're still figuring basic shit out, like how to clearly label what's free etc.

What do you suggest instead? What about Qobuz?

I'd recommend giving it a try. For me, full song credits, with every name having its own profile and songs they contributed to, is heaven. Also the app feels designed for music and not content marketing. It all feels more human, like Spotify used to do years ago.

I will happily use Tidal no matter what Spotify does. At least my money isn't funding defence tech and Joe Rogan.

Singer/songwriter type vocalists like going clickless in my experience. And I tend to think it enhances their performance, but you have to stay sharp when recording, and let them know if it's not tight enough.

I've noticed Melodyne changing the volume of vocals without me doing any edits at all. But for me it's been louder 🤷♂️
