Oh that looks really interesting! I will look it up…
I am trying to slow down & pay attention so it’s poetry for me! Loved Lavinia Greenlaw’s poem ‘A World Where News Travelled Slowly’ so have picked up her Selected Poems…

He looks as if he's protecting the drugs guys? Or are they supposed to be law enforcement? I'm confused.

That's very interesting. I think the concept of laziness has existed for much longer in the West, at least as far back as the Middle Ages & the concept of the Seven Deadly Sins (one of which was Sloth).

She was the best, one of my all-time favorites. Read the Old Filth trilogy in my 30s, again in my 50s and just now in my 60s. It ages deeply and profoundly with the reader and I know I will read it again and again.
I've read almost everything she wrote, but Old Filth is forever.
Godspeed, Jane

Good morning!
I have just started ‘Ghost Music’ by An Yu. A pianist in Beijing is having a nocturnal conversation with a mysterious mushroom. I think this is going to be very good.

OMG I read that & thought 'What have I done now?' before realising it was a quote & not some new awfulness I'd instigated!
