One of the most shocking things I have read for a while: t.co/lg46ijHLDF

Brexit Curse. NHS cancer patients denied life-saving drugs due to Brexit costs. Cost of importing new cancer drugs quadrupled. Shipping costs up 10 times. Brexit destroyed collaborative research. That wasn't on the side of the red bus. Save lives. Rejoin the EU.

🔴 More than 80 per cent of Reform UK's funding has come from just five people, according to my analysis for @prospectmagazine.co.uk Here's the full story story of who is bankrolling Reform and why www.prospectmagazine.co.uk/politics/696...

Terrific reporting by @nytimes.com. Shame the British media can’t expose this for themselves. Will only fuel suspicion that Farage and his Brexit gang are - and have always been - a Putinist front

A gobsmacking story. Water companies let toxic waste disposers, for cash, dump their loads into sewage farms. The sewage sludge is then spread, untested, on farmland, potentially poisoning vast areas, entire ecosystems and the people (you and me) eating the food. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

🙌 Nice! A “River Rescue Kit”, designed by Prof Jamie Woodward, can help volunteers take action against sewage pollution in their local waterways. 💩🚰

Last month I did a little experiment. I wanted to see how the exact same post would perform on both X (Twitter) and Bluesky. The results were...interesting... [Thread]

A message from Spain's left-wing government to the UK: take heart from our success on workers' rights. Raising living standards is the key to combating the far right. "If you fall into the dialogue of the far right, the far right wins." www.theguardian.com/business/202...

“In Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. Those affected receive a small apartment & counselling with no preconditions. 4 out of 5 people affected make their way back into a stable life. And all this is CHEAPER than accepting homelessness.”

"Some random country that hasn't fought a war in 40 years..." Over 500 dead British and French personnel (more than 1,000 total European fatalities) and c10,000 injured in Afghanistan 2001-2021. The only time Article 5 has been invoked. 'Disrespect' does not reside in lack of a suit, Mr Vance. ~AA

Russia report, anyone? 'The British public is in the dark over the threat they face from Russia' | News UK | Metro News metro.co.uk/2025/03/02/t...

Your periodic reminder that until economies get to net zero global temperatures will keep rising right up to and beyond the point where the Earth becomes practically uninhabitable for human civilisation.

The U.S. pressured Ukraine to withdraw its European-backed U.N. resolution demanding an immediate withdrawal of Russian forces from Ukraine. But Ukraine refused to pull its draft resolution. So the US voted... with Russia, Iran, Israel & North Korea... against Ukraine. Now read that again.

Trump/Musk cutting off communications access to the hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians fighting in horrible conditions, giving their lives defending Europe, as an extortion is exactly what the US is now. And they voted for it.

I cannot for the life of me understand why @teamlabouruk.bsky.social are ignoring this. It’s obvious and has been for years.
