I... I don't think I can do it after what happened in San Antonio recently. It hurts, and it's scary.

It's the best part!

The thing about ai is that there is actually a very steep cost. The resource cost to running these models is staggering. I don't know what the cost breakdown would be for doing a whole show, but the margin can't be much better than with real actors when the full cost is tallied up.

Shaving fur is the hardest part. If it's your first time really doing it, you're not doing as bad as you think. What I've done is practice on some scraps here and there to try and get better.

Right in the hubris. (I started my day with leftover nuggies from there and regrets were had... but they're weirdly good?)

Deadass, buy me the materials and I'll make it for free. It will be absolutely amateur, because I'm still learning, but doing something interesting that matters to me will be the kick in the ass I need to do it.

He's just jumping on the christofascist bandwagon so he doesn't get purged. Lip service because he's a fucking coward.

I was going to ask the same question.

I miss the golden age when you could just Google anything and get it. I wonder how hard it would be to curate a volunteer repository of reference, where people donate photos they took themselves.

To people asking "Is there more of this? Where can I read more?" It is called a history book, my friends. You have to be careful to not get one written by confederate apologists, but the tea is, indeed, out there. It just isn't written as amusingly.

It's amazing that the same people that would sue you into the ground if you copied their source code don't understand when the shoe is on the other foot.

Ah, the venn diagram between boy love and Lupin the 3rd.

After. The horse was first, done on a bet regarding equine gaits.

So was Muybridge, lol. He got started on these sequences out of an argument.

He also did the og sequence essentially on a bet, to prove a point. Then realized how important what he'd done was, and created many more, some even just of humans walking. They're still useful if you're an artist seeking to understand natural locomotion. I've used them as references.

These sequences are part of why I will never agree with people who compare ai to the advent of photography. Muybridge's sequences are still studied by animators to this day, to inform them. They furthered our understanding of motion. No gen ai has furthered art in this way.
