Agree this is all about humiliation

This story is equal parts disturbing and pathetic.

I live in Oregon and we have one Republican- Cliff Bentz- representing mostly conservative parts of the state. I was shocked to see him get heckled and shouted down by his constituents. These are not left leaning areas. Republicans should be getting a little nervous.

Every time I see something from Nate Silver - even if I don’t disagree- I want to punch him in the face. And I’m not a violent person.

It’s all performative. Don’t get me wrong, they are doing real damage to people’s lives but they don’t really care about results.

Idiotic and climate arson

It is a cult and I will never understand why they chose such a dumpy, incoherent insecure dude with dementia and bad makeup as their savior.

Mark - I agree this could be good but do you really trust Trump do be doing the strategic thing here? It is hard to believe there isn’t some angle that rewards him or his family and/or Putin. I think Trump is secretly jealous of Zelinsky.

They should just televise their town halls. Thousands are turning out. People are PISSED- across the spectrum.

Tiger has always seemed like a douche. This makes sense.

What is sad and scary is that everything is just for appearance and making numbers. Nothing relates to an actual threat. This administration is a disaster for America.

I think part of the problem is that many young men are deeply uninformed. Their information ecosystem is about sports, comedy, and that is where some of the more right wing content seeps in. This is a generalization but also observed with my young adult son and his friends

More importantly Republicans in Congress should be getting nervous. People are worried and getting pissed.

Yes and I hope the day comes as soon as possible that we can awaken from this horrible dream. The Republicans in
Congress who are cowering in the corner are first on my list.
comment in response to

Agree. I like Carville and we need more folks going on Fox. If even a little seeps through that’s a win.
comment in response to

I’m sure that is the plan but I expect the postal service to fuck up long before that.

Keep fighting and telling the story. Be visible.

Keep yelling about this. People need to know the Republicans want to screw the little guy.
comment in response to

I agree I’m frustrated with the dem response but that is because I’m absolutely horrified that Republicans have total capitulation and weakness to Trump and Musk and we need someone to stand up. So I’m mad but it’s not like I’m ever going to vote R in a million years.

What about a class action lawsuit against big balls and the minions working with him?

I’m sure this is a scam and frankly I’d rather have a functioning government with enough FAA agents and people to provide health care and monitor bird flu.
comment in response to

Yes please. We need to see the fight. Even if you don’t succeed.

Also dementia makes you lie. Maybe not on purpose but my mom makes up stuff all the time. Which is fine because she’s 91 and lives in memory care and isn’t running the biggest country in the world.

Rubio is a weak sellout. He must hate himself and if he doesn’t he’s even worse than I thought.

Pretty much quit Target and I used to spend a lot of money there but it is easy to find same products elsewhere. Target especially pisses me off with their whole obey in advance BS. Cowards.
comment in response to

Keep pointing out the facts instead of this BS they are peddling.
comment in response to

Gotta keep highlighting the fact that the emperor has no clothes. These savings are bs and a mirage.

People want action. The media are exposing these horrors. We want Congress to do your jobs and protect the American people. Show us action.

More more more of this. Will Steve Bannon be the hero of this story? Prob not.
comment in response to

What is clear is that Trump has no idea what Musk is really setting up for himself. He wants his tax cuts and to check shit off his list. Musk wants to control it all and we have no idea what this is capable of doing to our economy, society. Trump is a weak fool and Elon is playing him.
comment in response to
post
Congressional Republicans are weaklings. It can’t be said enough. But what can the Dems do to counter this. They need to block and obfuscate and also offer an alternative.
comment in response to

Wait I thought Musk told us he was good with money. Oops.

What a fucking moron. Such a goddamn embarrassment

Chuck - I beg you to have someone under 70 take over your social media feed and message. It needs major work.
comment in response to

At least he admitted they are worthless and useless. But he should resign and Dems should highlight Republican weakness at every turn. Make that their brand. Weaklings.
comment in response to

Dems need to be hammering daily all the ways Trump is adding costs and making us less safe + proposing their own fixes for making things better.
comment in response to

This is an idiotic take.
comment in response to

That is horrifying. My child in middle school understood Jim Crow.
comment in response to

I for one welcome Bannon getting into this. We need MAGA to turn against Musk and Bannon is one of the best messengers for that.
comment in response to

The Dems should hold hearings. Even if they are not “official”
We need answers and the media would be all over this
comment in response to

This is where Democrats need to fight. They need to be seen as doing something.
comment in response to

Rubio and Trump are both weak. Trump only cares about an immediate performative “ending the war”. He doesn’t care if things get 10x worse. Rubio is a rube. Quite sad.

I just asked my local newspaper the Oregonian the same thing.

How about a farm for insanely rich self important pricks who need to get off their phone and just talk to people.

I use ChatGPT to help explain concepts I don’t understand at work but today spent 30 minutes asking questions/discussing difficult concept with colleague and learned much more. Need both.
comment in response to

I think we need some of these policies to really start hitting people where it hurts + we need Dems to fight harder and also put forth new ideas. We need it all!

Love to see the backlash with target. They don’t deserve our business and we can get everything somewhere else. Also prices have been crawling up for a while so it’s not even a good deal anymore.

Also dying to know if airlines are copacetic with this. If people won’t fly they lose a gazillion $$.

He desperately needs a villain because he hasn’t produced. Everything is performative. AOC is a rock star and they are not used to anyone telling them to fuck off.

I’ve pretty much quit shopping at Target. Don’t miss it.
