My expectations were so low for DAI first time I played it, it easily surpassed them. I liked having to build up a force, I liked the companions, I liked how you got to see the castle restored. You also get a lot for your buck on the base game. Combat system holds it back though.

Dragon Age 2. A story built around the oppression of mages but most mages you meet are evil. Having the same maps over and over again. Decade passes but city never changes. Combat was a downgrade from Origins. There's a good game in there still. But the first time playing, I was very disappointed.
