Just some Sunday morning existential thoughts on the brink of what could be an unfathomably difficult and possibly unsurvivable period in our lives. I’m glad to be alive on this day and that’s god enough for me.

I don’t know. I guess whenever I feel like I’m not doing enough to save us from ourselves, whenever I feel helpless and useless, I just pay extra attention to my senses and feel extra hard. I’m a tastebud of the universe and they have an acquired taste. I am alive, and that’s really something.

So much of this existence feels absurd. Our recursive self awareness, the curse of recognizing patterns and knowing our time here extremely limited. We know it’ll end for every one of us someday but we try so hard anyways. I bet that looks pretty cute and lovable from far away.

whenever things get hard, I try to remind myself of this purpose. I’m here to feel it all. In all of its delicious agony. I try to feel a sense of wonder and amazement, there are so many unique first experiences to be had. Even the mundane ones. Statistics don’t matter in the eyes of the cosmos.

I don’t think that if there is a larger entity or consciousness that either created us or is observing us, they would be moralizing what they see in us on the terms that we’ve created. But perhaps they do appreciate certain things more than others.
