My formal work shorts (a sort of cut-off cargo pant khaki denim affair) are quite old, maybe 20 years old, slightly too large as bought when fatter and the tie just snapped. So to the hilarity of Paul the Gin man next door, I am now wearing an elastic bungee strap as a belt to keep them up.
