I am noticing a theme here. Have you considered downloading more We Live in Hell and Also Here's a Mindless Distraction From It To Stay Sane apps?

And apparently he's a Cubs fan! He's still going to be a disappointment but I will take it.

Sir this is a scurrilous and accurate statement and I don't have to stand for it, also Cards suck, God and the College of Cardinals officially said so

Oh my. I'm sure all responses to this were very normal and measured in the tone of their disagreement with your premise

Like if I am being very, VERY generous I can see the point that is being attempted here but this phrasing, it is Not Good. I do not understand why everything on Al Gore's Internet automatically proceeds from "thing happened" directly to "Thing will ALWAYS happen" without any stops along the way

Are you suggesting that people tracking the national debt have a partisan motivation of some sort and that they might want to hide information that hurts their ideological fellow travelers? I'm SHOCKED to learn about this, and also about gambling going on in this establishment

Fun game: trying to make intuitive sense of why "What was there before the Big Bang" is a bad question. Our ape brains were not designed to deal with abstractions like "The Big Bang started Space-time, so there was no time for any before to be in the first place!"

Feeling more OK about not setting up alerts for when World Cup 2026 tickets go on sale. I was going to take G to a game in Kansas City but at this rate one wonders if other countries' teams will make it through customs

Like. The challengers brought their own cheering section to disrupt the concentration of the Iron Chefs, and they would audibly applaud/jeer the judges after tasting. ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASION. Try *that* on Iron Chef America.

I remember seeing this poster in London in 2002 and thinking "Boy, that's a little on the nose". How far we have come in the field of "Terrifying dystopia posters" in the last 23 years

Hoo boy. (This was the one about the deportations of people with no criminal record; the interlocutor here asked rhetorically "do you want 238 illegal immigrants with ties to crime running around"? At which point the ball was grabbed, run with, and detonated)
