Some of the people I admire most in the world are journalists and public servants. My parents were both before they retired. I've worked at both NPR and the VA and found them both full of good, hardworking people who believed in something bigger than themselves. I grieve and hope in equal measures.

In case you don't know this already, tariffs are just consumer taxes. They don't do shit except impede international cooperation and punish consumers. In theory they can be used to give domestic manufacturing an advantage, but that's not what's happening here, plus the retaliation will negate that.
