America's foster kids are all on Medicaid, including the shaken babies, substance exposed,and physically and sexually abused/trafficked. And Congress plans to take their medical insurance away so that rich people get tax breaks.

I struggle to find good historical comparisons with this. Even most authoritarian and autocratic regimes at least pay lip service to basic concepts of virtue.
It's a level of greed is good and total abandonment of the collective - in a supposed democracy! - that feels almost uniquely insane.
