Last day to submit your indie video game to @brilliantindietreasures.com for the chance to showcase in Brighton 4pm to 8pm, Wednesday 9th of July.

Has anyone got any cognitive accessibility or motor accessibility questions about the Switch 2? I’m writing up my first impressions now so it’s a great time to ask me stuff 🕹️ Much woosh :)

At this point I'm going to start accusing studios of an assassination attempt, with the amount of wanton flashing in trailers. Half joking, but it's gotten ridiculous how dangerous it is for those of us who have vestibular disorders to enjoy games and games media.

A critical part of running a sustainable indie studio is controlling your budgets.

Is Dune Awakening accessible? Time to find out over at stream www.twitch.tv/arevya

Ended up giving myself a new echolalia sentence after asking the cats to "consider the fish" repeatedly over the last few weeks.

Hey folks, I was asked to comment on the upcoming GAA game and why the previous games simply did not work: www.bbc.com/news/article...

Come to Nottingham and watch me and Rach chat about all things Ramping Up Rights and probably loads of other things we'll go off on tangents about Tickets below!!

I need folks to stop with the solo dev narrative. It is hypothetically possible to make a game all by yourself. I promise you that 99.999999% of the commercial games that you’ve played were not made by one person. What’s more, devaluing the contributions of anyone touching the game is bullshit.

a bit of recent gameplay, showing how the Chaos Dance calamity (monsters move when you move) actually saved my skin in a tricky room, and meeting a new friend (?)! #gamedev #godot

Lean isn't bad, but it's not inherently good. The conversation around team size is getting weird and the poster boy for this weekend is suddenly a huge part of the problem. vgbees.com/if-you-dont-...

Good morning. It's Saturday and I'm writing news. "It's not hard to imagine ways in which repeating the myth of Clair Obscur's team size could contribute to worse conditions for games and the people developing them." www.pcgamer.com/gaming-indus...

This is that “deprofessionalization” shit front and center. Devaluing developer labor so everyone around the studio can profit in some way. Rage-bait content creators, Outsourcers, localization companies, toolmakers, publishers, platforms, investors—they all have a lot to gain!

I would highly suggest folks consult with Derek. His notes on my trailer was super helpful on making it even better.

My favorite part of SGF was when the Splitgate dude said he wanted to "Make FPS Great Again" and then announced a battle royale mode with Imagine Dragons playing.

Yeah I wonder huh 👀

Much better hat energy in day of the devs

Cool they changed the law so every time you show a trailer you have to say how many people are on the team - but really I need to see the payroll and bank accounts

Steps to being a big boy: Wear stupid hat Say Call of Duty is boring Go on to show an FPS that is mid at best Practically skip off stage with glee cause you dropped an f-bomb cause your game is just so much better than any other

"Bravely stepped away from big publishers" is such a stretch, considering how nigh on impossible it is to get funded these days. #SummerGameFest

Bluesky, and to a degree Mastodon, are the only platforms I get ANY traction, clicks, donations, views, sales, you name it from. 100 likes and 10 people buy vs 100000 likes and no one buys. idk man. Your pick.

Disabled people, don't let financial barriers stop you from attending Develop Brighton this year.
