I've got a lot of Monsterpocalypse stuff, it's all now painted, and no more is being released. Well, nothing *new* at any rate. I've got everything I came for, and a bit more besides. Strangely, I don't feel like I'll be leaving this world just yet. 2/2

Hey, I swear it drives me nuts already.

This is how I found out the Pope was dead.

Will we receive any kind of e-mail notifications that our copies are being shipped? It's only now clicked with me that this is happening, I've been fairly ignorant of what's been happening.

It's coz you're in comics lists. I have no idea who you are, but I'm following you coz you're on a Bluesky Following List.

This feels pretty weird, I ain't gonna lie. The Hodag is the ghost of an overworked ox, and is also pretty dang small, so it's weird seeing it be the biggest version of something.

That's a terrible pun.

Weird final sentence for a comics publisher to say but sure.

I had to read Left Behind in college! I chose not to and to this day is the only book I've ever yeeted in to a dumpster.

Is 'Prezzie's Choice' really a brand up in Canada? It seems terribly ironic given the current times.

I may have gotten the digital edition of this book, but I eagerly await the physical copy for my initial read.

Are the Cannons related? Just an idle question.

Wait, if your artists and writers are from other countries, doesn't that make you multinational?

Really like that Sage Turtle there.

No, I think a deep part of it is I can't self-market worth a damn. I am deeply deeply afraid of exposure in certain lights and things getting too personal, which is why the username helps elsewhere and does not here.

The weird thing is, I'm on Webtoons and they have series where they pay creators, Originals series. Names of the authors include: Ms. Freaky, mame .w., Diggymungo, Purpah, Boredman, and NeverDraws.

Well, I'll be The Hidden Elephant where-ever I can be. I've even been known to react to someone saying the word 'Hidden' so there's points in my favor there.

That's advice I do not like. It may be good, but I am a *very* self-conscious individual. My webcomic is a very large part of that. As my webcomic buddies put it, it's best to think of it like the creators of the Avatar: The Last Airbender in relation to that show.

Well, I've got those. I've got a few small 8-Pagers and a longform webcomic all available on the web. My big regret is thinking the main webcomic was going to be a small task. I appreciate it for all it's taught me.

As someone trying to break into writing comics, I'm surprised publishers are willing to look at stuff and hope that your pitches hit home runs.

I'd love to get my Fantasy/Giant Monster story to the publishers'. Just get the right people's eyes on it.

For reference, these are the characters I'm talking about. I think it's fairly obvious who becomes what.

I do want to get one for myself, but I'm a bit apprehensive on the financial front myself. I hope to pull myself together enough for a piece.

I do keep creating! I've got a long-form webcomic that I continuously work on, and 4 8-page comics I made with other artists. I have no idea if publishers think that counts for anything, though.
comment in response to post
Well, I have everything but finding out when publishers' submissions are open. Literally have a pitch with log-line, outline, and 7 pages of completed art. If I could set up an alert that told me when publishers were opening submissions, I would.
comment in response to post
Wait, do you know how to submit a comic book pitch to an editor?
comment in response to post
I've used Reddit. There's a subreddit called comic_book_collabs or something along those lines. However, I write out massive posts that list expectations, goals, and special keywords because there are scam artists there.

This is what's preventing me from being able to be an author, realistically. I can work with artists, do writing, draw up some stuff, but I absolutely cannot get myself out there. It's a major roadblock I do not know how to get around.

I've had to extend the message. There's two places to read tWO; Comicfury and Webtoons. Follow the link to your choice of site: www.webtoons.com/en/canvas/th... thewideocean.thecomicseries.com

is this the Cat=Car thing? Because for whatever reason I keep on seeing posts about cats that have text about cars. They're feeding on their own mistakes.

Yeah, probably, speaking as one of those people here for publishing who wants to try and break into comics. No, wait, that sounds mean.... IDK, but it makes sense to have two different channels to do so. I've never juggled multiple accounts before, though.
comment in response to post
I think I've read all of these.

It's a very good thing that I decided to randomly check out my BlueSky account randomly today.
