WOW. One of the Venezuelans whom Kristi Noem tried to render to El Salvador's slave prison managed to avoid removal and was able to make it to immigration court, and you'll never guess what happened: THE GOVERNMENT GAVE NO EVIDENCE OF HIS GANG MEMBERSHIP. Due process ftw

Trump, the so-called dealmaker, now wants to delay Medicare from negotiating drug prices. Eli Lilly charges Americans $1,080 for the diabetes drug Mounjaro when the same drug can be purchased for $200 in Japan and $520 in the U.K. Is this what Trump means by America First?

Speaking now from El Salvador, Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) says he was denied access to Kilmar Abrego Garcia by El Salvador leaders. And was denied a phone call to him Van Hollen: "The Trump Administration is lying about Abrego Garcia"

There is a much too rarely mentioned but essential difference between Donald Trump and Abrego Garcia: Abrego Garcia is not a convicted felon.

If you're a reporter in a White House press briefing as the spokesperson for the government asserts flatly that Kilmar Abrego Garcia is a member of the MS-13 gang who's guilty of human trafficking and you sit there silently without shouting out "PROVE IT!" I'd like to invite you to go fuck yourself.

Replace ‘Harvard’ with ‘churches’ and he’s onto something…

Seems like this would be a big deal for the Sincere Enemies of Anti-Semitism

On this day, April 14, 2025, the President of the United States openly defied the Supreme Court’s unanimous opinion of April 10, 2025, ordering him to “facilitate Abrego Garcia’s release from custody in El Salvador

Is this administration so weak that Donald Trump and JD Vance can’t ask El Salvador to return someone they deported in error & have confidence El Salvador will honor their request? That would be a shocking fall in status for the United States.

They didn’t just send Abrego Garcia “back to El Salvador”, they sent him to a fucking torture prison. They didn’t send him “back to where he was from.” They sent him to his death. They cannot prove he was a “terrorist”. They took him by “mistake.” And they do not fucking care.

Harvard has set an example for other higher-ed institutions - rejecting an unlawful and ham-handed attempt to stifle academic freedom, while taking steps to make sure students can benefit from an environment of intellectual inquiry, rigorous debate and mutual respect. Let’s hope others follow suit.

important context about the concentration camps in el salvador:

I wish more people understood this:

New reporting shows HUGE WASTE in spending at Guantanamo Bay. $40 million tab… $3 million on empty tents. Wasteful, inhumane political theater.

I would not have predicted that large universities would show more courage than either Big Law or corporate media. Good for them.

Congress must move to impeach

We must all stand as a united front against the kidnapping and illegal detention of Kilmar Abrego Garcia in El Salvador. Senator, I am willing to join you and help Organize other members of the House to do the same. @vanhollen.senate.gov

We need answers now. I’m ready to join Sen. @vanhollen.senate.gov & my colleagues @maxwellfrost.bsky.social, @robertgarcia.bsky.social in El Salvador to demand Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s release and get him safely back to his family.

AOC: When he talks about rapists and criminals, he should look in the mirror

Bringing the heat

Hold Marco Rubio in contempt and then see whether the administration can figure out how to comply with a court order.

Good for Harvard

At least one US president cares to denounce this attack.

Trump has announced that he is suing CBS, 60 Minutes, and Paramount for billions. This comes after their latest interview with Zelenskyy who Trump is attempting to undermine in service to Russia & its invasion of Ukraine. The official excuse the regime is presenting is “election interference”.

A president who was truly committed to opposing political violence and standing up against antisemitism would have condemned the arson attack on Gov. Shapiro and his family by now.

THEN: Donald Trump promised to lower costs for American families. NOW: The President enacted one of the biggest tax hikes in history.

Sean Spicer was ahead of his time. This White House press corps would’ve bought the inauguration crowd bullshit.

So all the White House political reporters are spending the weekend getting up to speed on the Abrego Garcia case and litigation related to the gulag in El Salvador so that they can prep good questions for Bukele’s visit on Monday, right? Right????????

Reminder: The Trump Administration used an unsecured commercial messaging app to text secret military plans to a journalist, endangering our national security. There’s still been zero accountability. Fire Hegseth. Fire Waltz.

Watch a major campaign being born.

Tomorrow’s going to be a good stress test of the press. El Salvadoran President Bukele will visit the White House. At the press availability, every Q ought to be about Abrego Garcia: where is he now? Did US ask you to return him? etc. WH will hate, maybe try to prevent, so all should band together.

Imagine if the media gave these rallies anywhere near the attention they gave Trump. That’s what a game-changer the media is.

How much you wanna bet that soon we’ll find out it’ll cost $100 billion or some such amount to fix everything he broke?

We haven’t forgotten.

Here is how WaPo handled Dem's 10-day long effort to count every vote in PA vs. GOP's 5-month long effort to throw out thousands of votes in NC. Support independent, pro-democracy media.

Is it just me or can nobody else stand the sight or sound of the odious child Karolying Leavitt?
