This new generation of politicians is just dumb. Actual grown adults on social media shitposting and sharing memes. They get paid to represent the people and advocate for them; not acting like a child in public is the least we should expect.

I think it won't change much, but Poilievre just sealed his fate with moderates. At times he looked okay, maybe even convincing, but immediately pivoted back to his box of slogans and cheapshots that work so well with his base... and nobody else.

Does he box like that? If so, we can say goodbye to our sovereignty lmao

Kudos for your efforts with the younger generation, I wish more politicians did. But if you're in Saanich Gulf Islands and you want to elect Carney, vote Green. It's starting to look like a two horse race and one of them has strangles.

Pretty much this. If they bring him back, they look vulnerable and subject to the law, and it'll open up a can of worms with lawsuits from others who were denied due process. If nobody returns, they can keep people afraid of being locked up in a foreign gulag at their sole behest.

A good way to never want to vote Conservative again is to get on their mailing list. All their mailers and surveys are this deranged. Never any policy, just slogans and fear. And this is not new or unique to PP.

I'm a Lib and this leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I cannot put myself in the mindset of someone who thought this was a good idea. Poilievre is doing a great job looking Trumpy all by himself, just show people that. This kind of thing just promotes the destructive "all sides are the same" attitude.

I requested one a few days ago. Since mine went up, two others have popped up on the street as well. If you live in a conservative area, those signs signal to other Libs that they're not alone, the election is not a foregone conclusion, and to get out and vote.

He proves more and more every day that he's a giant sociopath. For him, technology is not there to serve us, we're there to serve it. He doesn't see the SSA as an important source of income for seniors, he sees it as data that can be used to train his AI models.

Rand Paul has always been a smart guy. Just corrupt.

The guy built his party on the Convoy, and is now acting surprised when his candidates are saying Convoy things

Great to hear. There is a bit of coverage here, but not enough--most major Canadian media outlets are US owned now. Just remember, there are hundreds of millions of you, and only a few dozen of them. If enough people resist and get out there, you WILL win.

Please protest & invite like minded friends and family to do the same. If you can't or don't live near a city contact your rep/senator regularly and demand an end to Trump attacking allies and running roughshod over the US Constitution. Pressure Rs to stop propping him up & Ds to push on Rs harder.

This is true - I shouldn't slander the Bloc like that

I distinctly remember an interview with Obama, when he said the Secret Service gave him a BlackBerry with everything locked out--app store, camera, SMS, browser--and he wasn't allowed to use another phone for any reason. And nobody questioned it, because security is important...sorry, was important.

Because many on the left will accept nothing less than 100% of what they want--any views not absolutely in line with their ideology are "all the same". Meanwhile, the right will basically eat a pound of feces for dinner so long as they get their favourite dessert. This is why we're here.

Canadians, Australians, New Zealanders, and probably most Brits. Oh, and he's also picked a fight with Lesotho.

Every time I feel like I've reached the point where I couldn't possibly despise Manfred anymore than I already do, he somehow manages to find yet another gear.

True, but given these unprecedented times I worry that we are one executive order away from this not being the case.

I'm sure the banks will have the opportunity to buy the debts. And set their own interest rates.

My Morfar served in the Danish navy before immigrating to Canada in the 50s. If he were still with us today hearing this annexation nonsense and seeing Nazi salutes on TV, he'd be losing his damn mind.

So is Putin. He literally banned her from Russia.

I appreciate what you're saying here and I hope you're right, but 6 months ago I thought there would be zero chance he would team up with Elon to dismantle the entire US government and yet here we are. Please listen to the voices around you, get mad, and fight not just for Canada, but the USA too.

I wish we had him on for just one more year. Policy wise, he had his hits and misses, but in a crisis situation, Justin rises to the occasion. Much like Pierre, he wasn't always popular in office, but history will view him in a much different light.

Sadly I feel like the inevitable flood of emails will just make them use a private email server in Musk's basement or something. And the irony will be completely lost on MAGA.

Putin's justification for invading Ukraine was that they needed to "de-nazify" it and free its oppressed people. The discussion they're starting here--albeit far fetched and unbelievably stupid--sounds awfully familiar.

Yeah, I'm not convinced this was ever about fentanyl. Trump is using that story to sell his tariffs to the American public. Ottawa knows this and is playing his game in an attempt to neutralize his excuses. What he ultimately truly wants, it seems like only he knows.

I feel like it's a mistake not extending it to KW and London. The GTA is geographically maxed out, these cities are growing rapidly and the 401 is jammed along this corridor with people already trying to commute.

It looks like Ford is trying not to run afoul of Trump's fragility, but he's admired Trump in the past. Thing is, if he actually understood how Trump negotiates he'd realize he's about to lose the game before it even starts. JT gets it. Ford & Smith need to get out of his way before they blow it.

Hackers find the exploits
Crackers write the scripts
Script kiddies run them (after figuring out how to install Python on Windows and open a command prompt)
