I blanked out on the name of this bird playing Sibley Bird Trivia last night and lost the game. 😭 The only thing that came to mind was Nutflyer 😂

No matter how many times I see these birds their size always amazes me, as does how brilliantly white their heads are. Gorgeous creatures.

This article makes me so happy. Three cheers for Muppet birbs and birbs in general!

Don't know about anybody else, but we sure have needed birds (and nature) lately. It's our happy place for sure.

IMO if anything’s going to get our mental health through the coming years in one piece, it’s likely going to be nature. ☺️

Hi! We’re two bird nerd nature lovers who love books! Nice to meet ya!

You know it! We manage wood duck boxes on our lake every year. Jump day is always exciting. We’ve got bluebird and tree swallow boxes on the town conservation land too! Here’s a couple from previous years. ☺️

Yup. We’re just gonna focus on local conservation projects, online conversations with bird nerd friends, and avoid the toxic media. 🤷‍♀️ Donating & voting when we can. Hiking for sanity. Hang in there.

We had to negotiate with our dogs just to get them to go out in the yard this morning. 😂

Hahahaha. This shot made me laugh. Lookit his little whiskers!

The crest on their heads always cracks me up. They’re like little 80s punk rockers flitting through the sky.

I’d like to make some thoughtful comment about this image but all I can come up with is “Wow!” 😍

Phenomenal shot! I love the variations in each bird’s wing stroke (is that the right term 🤔). Anyway, such an interesting composition. Thanks for sharing!

That seems true, but also there’s a lot of shallow attention grabbers out there, higher quality/relevant and educational content is still capable of holding folks attention, if it’s present.
