As a bicyclist, I agree. And as a former admin person, I know that some organizations also use requiring a Driver's License as a shortcut to proving eligibility to work, which is ill-considered and (as I understand it and at least for now) illegal

Wow! That feels like prioritization of CYA for ALA over the interests of library workers. Disappointing. Thanks for sharing. I've been pondering my own membership renewal. It's a big organization and we need library advocacy now more than ever, but maybe we're too misaligned about what's important

Yes, this I can see more. When I was in public libraries I remember shocking my friends in the tech sector when I deleted LinkedIn all together. They found it pretty crucial
