My mum sat me down and drew diagrams for me and all sorts. But then, she was a registered nurse for 40+ years so she knew this shit was important. I had the ‘talk’ repeatedly with my son (19) from a very young age (think 3ish) in age-appropriate terms because I, too, know this shit is important.

I think a whole lot of damage has been done over the past 15 years with all of this "are trans women actually women?"/"are trans men actually men?" questioning. That's not the question when it comes to public policy!

This is, of course, a matter of straight feminists resenting lesbians for being free of the contradiction between feminist politics and straight desire—rather than, idk, examining or working through or dare I say it even engaging in political struggle to resolve that contradiction themselves.
