As historian Ruth Ben-Ghiat writes, authoritarians normalize cruelty to divide and conquer. “Freeing people from the idea that they should respect others as individuals with dignity and autonomy is part of the agenda.”

Stop mass deportations with this one simple trick: wapo.st/41apYFB (gift link)

This is both insane and corrupt. It’s insane to tear out existing infrastructure that is functioning and cost you’re nothing to maintain and serves people in the planet. It’s corrupt because it’s been done to benefit as largest campaign contributor.

Just disgusting.

Placing current 3 star general suddenly to the top ranked officer in the entire military is probably a bad sign as it suggests he pulled from lower ranks in order to find someone that would be a total loyalist. Not good. A 3 star doesn’t just suddenly leapfrog to the chairman of joint chiefs role.

Rep Raskin has been great. Rep Ocasio-Cortez has been great. And Rep Frost and Rep Crockett. Senator Murphy. Maybe no one knew exactly what to do. But such people laid down a clear marker. Let’s respect these and other elected federal representatives who stood out these first few weeks.

"As we navigate the sheer quantity of hate and unconstitutional extremism found within these orders, it’s essential we not let this blitzkrieg distract or deter us." - Keith Thirion

Trump administration is planning to use polygraphs to assess federal employee loyalty. There are ways to manipulate polygraph results, and we will provide guidance to coalition members. Polygraph results are not admissible in court due to their potential for false positives and negatives.

www.propublica.org/article/doge... If Musk bought an orchard he would fire the pickers mid harvest and replace the farm trucks with his Deplorians.

The root that tears apart your foundation begins as a seed of distrust, hate, and blame. The seed that grew into a dictatorship in Europe didn’t arrive overnight. It started with everyday Germans mad about inflation and looking for someone to blame.

Over 120,000 Japanese Americans forced into imprisonment in internment camps simply because they were of Japanese heritage.

JD Vance owns AcreTrader, an app that lets wealthy—often foreign—investors buy up U.S. farmland. Guess who’s deliberately tanking farm economies so JD and his billionaire tech buddies can scoop it up for pennies. civileats.com/2024/09/18/j...

I can’t remember where I read this, but it’s important: Why is it that when people think about traveling to the past, they worry about doing something small that will drastically change the present, but no one in the present thinks that doing something small today can drastically change the future?

Things are not developing as I would wish. www.cnn.com/2025/02/18/p...

So now the American public gets to wonder what Trump made more dangerous flying, or eating.

IT’S RACIST INSANITY.

Seems to me that anyone who wants to wander into a Musk office whether it’s a Tesla dealership or Starlink and just start firing people would have the same authority he has to do it to the US government…

Musk proves again he’s a terrible human. When Dylan Hedtler-Gaudette, a blind watchdog from the Project on Government Oversight, criticized Musk’s U.S. DOGE Service in Capitol Hill testimony, Musk retaliated with a cruel online attack.

Richest man in the world muses about Jailing reporters, nothing to see here

It has come to our attention that some of the parasites who "work" for the federal government were actually in charge of our nuclear weapons. Our bad. We're trying to recruit them back to the office now. Let us know if you know where they are.

taking black kids away from their parents and putting them on farms seems really familiar to me! what could it be?
