This is what I’ve been feeling Grieving while helping spirit depart Trying to catch the “babies” that are being thrown out with the bath water And preparing to midwife the new world It’s a busy time Yet each day appreciating the beauty all around me… How about you?

Cheering for Canada's win at hockey last night! Reminds me of that year so long ago when USA beat the USSR in Olympics hockey. Would that all animosity could be settled like that.

The root that tears apart your foundation begins as a seed of distrust, hate, and blame. The seed that grew into a dictatorship in Europe didn’t arrive overnight. It started with everyday Germans mad about inflation and looking for someone to blame.

Being confrontational never wins over hearts and minds. Centering before speaking out of fear and anger is wiser. Good from all the chaos, the courts have been blocking all these orders. Breathe a minute.

The Papua New Guinea Courier is in rare form.

Ok, discovery here! I squished up some firm tofu, and sautéed it with some veggies and a sprinkle of Penzey's "Justice" seasoning. Better than scrambled eggs!!

(Part 3) Somehow, coming as a reasoned and equitable program from our beloved Jimmy Carter, it is all more palatable. Heck, even suggest this plan to your Reps. Changes will happen because they must. But if we can have a part in deciding how, we might all fare better.

(PART 2) And Carter's understanding could not encompass the massive societal and political changes we've had since then. He outlines a 10 part plan that I can't fit here, so I just urge everyone to read "The Virtues of Aging" ASAP. Because when changes and cuts come, we will react badly.

In Jimmy Carter's 1998 book "The Virtues of Aging", he acknowledges, even then, the inevitability of a financial crisis around Social Security and Medicare. It's actually, a very simple formula of more aging/retired people than workers paying in to the system.
