Law student, academic hobbyist (for now), really fun at parties (probably) I hate social media, existence, and most of you. But hopefully we can have some fun together anyways!

I love Bob Dylan, but "Like a Rolling Stone" is one of the most hateful, privileged, ugly songs I've ever heard and everyone who voted to make it one of Rolling Stone's top songs is extremely suss

Not the most important part, but since when is a child defined as someone under the age of 19??? Seems like just a cheeky way to deny trans adults their rights for an extra year

Companies rolling back DEI initiatives is the new "Whites Only" symbol. Same segregation new tactics. This is regression not progress. www.cnbc.com/2025/01/24/t...

Nice thought but (1) best interests, rather than stated interests is a condescending statement, (2) vulnerable people aren't any less likely to endorse or need evil shit than anyone else, (3) if you don't understand vulnerable people's interests as impacting your own you will inevitably betray them

Someone can be cool like 90% of the time, but then they're faced with something real that provokes their inner cop. Liberals complaining about how Hesgeth's substance history makes him unqualified aren't on the side of the downtrodden, they're just mad they aren't in charge.

My lesson for the day is that when someone who's loved in Atlanta for a while tells you it's too dangerous to go out on less than an inch of snow, they aren't being dramatic. But I survived and had a fun adventure so 🤷

Moderates in Dem Party may say this language loses elections, but my job is to tell the truth: Trump’s immigration policies are part of a racist, white supremacist project. Fights over who belongs to “We the people” have always been abt race. This time is no different.

i love when food guidance for pets is stricter than for humans. if you search whether cats can eat sushi, some people say no bc the cat might get parasites. as if I ought not share my lunch, that I am eating, because it's too low quality for the animal that voluntarily drinks my toilet bowl water

I have extremely negative attitudes about healthcare and approve of political violence in the right circumstances. Just thought I'd make things a little easier for the FBI

I love Aaron Sorkin more than life itself (I wish I was joking) but I will never forgive him for convincing a generation of Democrats/liberals that democratic politics is about persuasion over representation

Idk how legit this magazine is, they only cite anonymous sources, and the claimed wording of the memo would be moronic for a legal document. I'm sure there will be a similar EO, I'm just also fairly sure these guys are making things up attention.

On the other hand, banning any one social media company is like banning a specific waterdrop at Niagra Falls. That's why I would be far more excited about well thought out blanket legislation rather than this whack-a-mole nonsense.

I did not care at all about the national security argument for banning TikTok... Until they started actively interfering in domestic US politics. If a foreign company is willing to create propaganda for a US President just to stick around, they should not be allowed to operate in the country.

As a follow-up to my post secular privilege in interpretations of the first Amendment, this article demonstrates the other side of that coin. While I agree with what Annunciation House is doing, were I, as an atheist, to perform exactly the same conduct, I would have no legal protections

If you're sad about TikTok I understand. But if you're mad about it and have no emotions about the Laken-Riley act, then you're part of the problem

A homeless man was killed in Atlanta today because someone couldn't be bothered to do a proper check before unnecessarily rolling construction equipment over a bunch of tents. I'm fucking sick of my governments killing people on my behalf, and I'm willing to do almost anything to make it stop

I can't be the first to say this, but does it seem like Zuck was a little hurt by Jesse Eisenberg's portrayal in The Social Network and so decided to model his life after Eisenberg's character in The Art of Self Defense (Not realizing it's a painfully obvious satire of toxic masculinity)
