i love when food guidance for pets is stricter than for humans. if you search whether cats can eat sushi, some people say no bc the cat might get parasites. as if I ought not share my lunch, that I am eating, because it's too low quality for the animal that voluntarily drinks my toilet bowl water

This is Sherman insisting that he share my salmon sushi.
Yes, he got many pieces. Not fond of rice, though.
.
But I don’t eat raw fish anymore. Plenty of people do, however
GET OUTOF THE TOILET, BUD!!
Have a lovely day 😌🌈
Purrcilla: “I’m eating this random debris I see on the floor.”
BTW, they don’t go outside any more, too dangerous. 😖
Alas a lot of ppl love their pets more than they do other ppl.
I mean, cats get urinary tract problems from eating fish made for them sometimes. And they puke, just because.
But maybe sushi isn't that smart of an idea.

I guess it's so good he enjoys it twice.
But sushi is not made with the same kind of fish you buy at the seafood section of the supermarket. It has to be sushi grade.
I've never gotten sick from sushi, unlike the salad bar.
Awesome right
It's not, and never has been. Not in the US, anyway. It has to be frozen at -4 or below for 7 days, minimum.

That's rhetorical. I already know the answer. Nothing.
I Did Not Know That.

Down it went.
I went with tamagoyaki.
Many Japanese believe flash freezing ruins the taste/texture of sushi. Numerous blind tasting tests have shown...
Luckily, all sushi in the US must adhere to strict freezing protocols.
The horseradish is toxic to the parasites & I bet your cat won't eat that either.
So please don't feed your cat your sushi
But yeah, the cat will choose to eat worse things on its own. Sprinkle a little diatomaceous earth on its food.
But like for sushi as long as you've got the stuff that's been hard frozen hopefully no one is getting parasites?
So it goes undiagnosed.
A handful of people can have complications. But people with complications will typically say "hey, I'm sick". For animals, they don't say anything. They might change behaviors, but that might not manifest until complications have led to organ failure.

sushi has soy sauce
I think that is a succinct way to describe the filter that one has to apply in looking up that information.

Or
Ingredient cat safe
Here's your fresh canned meat with no crap that I paid more than I can afford. Enjoy whilst I eat beans on toast. Again.🤣
Be careful with raw meat, blood, and fecal matter. That's it.
Those people who sanitize their houses with bleach, their kids get allergies (more than everybody else). Don't bleach your house, you don't need it.
Dogs aren't drinking from kitchen sinks though
My point stands though- keep your dog bowl clean and full of fresh water.
Sushi.
Aaaaah yes.
The complexities of sushi.
Also, my poops go in the toilet while his go in my hand so...
Jujube’s BMI is currently in a healthy range, while mine is a lost cause at this point 😂
On another occasion, while a new pet sitter was there to meet the critters, the same dog came trotting in with half a rat in her mouth and blood dripping down her front.
Google: Dogs can contract several different species of internal parasites from cat poop whether or not your cat eats sushi.
I’m sure mid-range kibble & wet food are fine, I don’t have to cook her organic dinners
This year, no goose poop, tho, bc H5N1. Keeping her off it will be a challenge
