There are physical,mental, emotional, and other types of abuse. Out of fear, many women will deny the severity or existence of abuse. Abusers need help, therapy, or other types of intervention. For decades, women have fought to be heard, and their abuse validated. How is this fiasco possible?

My concern about a nominee's upcoming confirmation. Alcoholism is an illness, it requires admission and a commitment to seek help. One does not promise to stop drinking and it disappears. It becomes a lifestyle, and can be exacerbated by stress.
