Idk other people have articulated this better than I can. But the point is to desire to be yourself in spite of obstacles and difficulties, socially, medically, time wise, personally, in family, etc, it comes from love and confidence, even when you don't know if you have enough of it.

Of course we sexualize ourselves! When it's so hard to have and so impossible to articulate to closed minded professionals who only recently have been forced to make it (a little) easier. Of course there's a fetish aspect. It's a displaced desire that stands in for "I shouldn't have to fight for it"
