Again not the point. It doesn’t matter if such concepts didn’t exist at the time. Please stop hyper explaining things.

Oops. That migration predates the Asian groups that came across the land bridge.

It’d be interesting to see if Black aboriginal have any connection. There’s evidence that the actual first humans to set foot in what we call the Americas. This is thought to be between 120 - 60,000 years ago. Thafwould predate

I think a lot more study needs to be done here. These are the groups that have very low or no Neanderthal DNA. Yoruba, Zulu, San, Mbuti pygmies Twa, I don’t think the Dinka do but I may be mistaken.

Who didn’t? Homo Sapiens? If so that sounds odd. It’s been proven that African women have the most complex DNA chains there is. What this means is that they’re capable to of expressing more variations than other groups. The San have one of the oldest DNA there is. They’ve had no connection

If this refers to mixed groups that went further north and East it may make more sense as well. The recent find of “ Chedder Man” may be an example. He had dark skin but ruddy hair and bluish eyes.

Cont. If they sampled African groups with more interaction with those that migrated back to Africa this might make sense. However with such a small percentage of DNA influence how do we know is the Neanderthal genome that created an advantage?

Shaun I’m going to have to politely request that you stop repeating the same thing in different ways. There’s nothing there that I’m not already aware of. But the information here fails to identify what African groups it sampled. Cont.

Again you’re reiterating common knowledge here. It doesn’t address the fact that numerous groups that did not interbreed with Neanderthals and stayed in Africa and thrived. We have several groups that have no connection to the Neanderthal. Forgive me, I have issues with broad stroked topics.

That’s not my point. That’s common knowledge. I’m challenging the tone of headline for the article. The entire viewpoint is from a Eurocentric perspective.

I’m assuming you’re responding to the Neanderthal question. DNA studies show that the groups that arose in Europe carry Neanderthal genes. The meme implies that humans were able to flourish by interbreeding with Neanderthals. The problem with the concept is that it totally ignores other groups.

I don’t see any reason to be embarrassed for what someone else did unless I helped in some way.

So how does that explain the millions of Africans today that have no Neanderthal DNA?
