ICYMI: I spoke to @reproutopia.bsky.social about the feminist imperative to fight fascism, even when the fascists are other feminists (and especially when those other feminists are providing a pseudofeminist alibi to a rightwing assault on bodily autonomy and trans people)

It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office. Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc. Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.

"[Issue x] is a distraction!" is a corrosive outlook. All outrages are important to fight. Nobody can fight them all, but together we can cover them all. You telling somebody who is fighting an issue that you aren't fighting that what they're doing is a distraction is a distraction. Stop.
