Look, if you won't take it from me, take it from Jen Psaki: this is an excellent summation on the lack of strategy from Mr. Schumer and why it's hurting all of us. Sign the petition to remove him as leader: www.change.org/p/boycott-co...

The whole point is not just the state disappearing whoever they want, it's you being in the habit of accepting the state choosing whom to disappear, without question. It's submission to the state. Same as with Gitmo after 9/11. The state's judgment must not be questioned.

Ukraine as a sovereign nation can make alliances as it pleases. Russia has attacked Ukraine to strip it of its sovereignty. Russia is now trying to get the US to do something to Ukraine it cannot do itself.

Can Ukraine stop Russia from allying with North Korea, Iran, and China? If not, then Russia cannot forbid Ukraine from allying with whom it chooses. That is a basic element of sovereignty.

Other presidents have been frustrated by court rulings they didn't like but recognized the importance of abiding by decisions. When the Supreme Court ruled against Bush 43 in a war-on-terror case, he was urged to overrule the justices but refused, as reported in "Days of Fire."

This statement from AG Bondi is a disgrace. The judge did not “support” terrorists. He decided a case, based on facts and law, finding the requirements of the Alien Enemy Act lacking.

In an overnight filing, Plaintiffs in the deportation case ask the Court to require immediate declarations under oath from the gov’t to determine whether it violated the court’s order to cease deportations & if necessary, turn planes around. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

Thousands of US Department of Agriculture employees, including food inspectors and disease-sniffing dog trainers, remain out of work, leaving food to rot in ports and pests to proliferate.

Short thread by @samuelwa.de worth reading: Demolition of Radio Free Asia / VOA / etc is more self-lobotomization by US. (Not saying Trump/Doge are paid agents of Xi and Putin. But if CN and RU could buy control of US govt, this is their dream version of what their minions might do.)

Trump, the only convicted felon ever to serve as president, travels to the Justice Department to discuss law and order in a speech that darkens into an acid airing of grievances against his enemies. @glennthrush.bsky.social Zolan Kanno-Youngs @tylerpager.bsky.social www.nytimes.com/2025/03/14/u...

At court hearing today on Trump's Perkins Coie executive order, Judge Beryl Howell paid tribute to storied DC firm Williams & Connolly for agreeing to rep Perkins. “They are very brave to take on the Perkins Coie matter–they could be next,” Howell said..

The largest private employer in Baltimore just lost $800 million in federal contracts and grants. This recession is going to be a doozy.

No wonder I had a feeling that the Trump administration was determined to put guns in the hands of domestic violence perpetrators. It’s because they are. Definitely watch this interview.

U.S. Representative Jamie Raskin is encouraging all U.S. citizens to join him this week in filing formal demands for access to their personal data obtained by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and Elon Musk. Citizens need only fill out the form and mail it in to DOGE. 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻

THAT DIDN'T TAKE LONG: Plaintiffs in one lawsuit against DOGE have alerted the court to President Trump's remarks tonight calling Elon Musk the "head" of the office.

Warren: Donald Trump ran for office saying he would cut costs for ordinary families. Remember his words on day one? Now we're in the second month and what we're watching is cuts for billionaires in their taxes, but paid for by driving up costs for middle class families

Pritzker: "We're talking about the death of a constitutional republic. That's what happened in Germany in 1933, 1934. And we're seeing today that we've got an administration in Washington that's ignoring court orders."

BREAKING -- Elon Musk attending Trump's first cabinet meeting tomorrow Elon Musk is NOT a member of the cabinet He has NOT been confirmed or even considered by the Senate (as Constitution requires) He's worth $384,000,000,000 and spent $288,000,000 to buy the Trump presidency

Chris Murphy: "This deal that Donald Trump just cut with the mayor of New York -- it's a big deal ... they did that out in the open on TV because it's a signal to everybody else out there that the law will be applied differently to you if you are loyal to the president."

“DOGE apparently didn’t understand the workers’ role”—in other words, that the “National Nuclear Security Agency” was an agency having something to do with national nuclear security
