My latest reads and squares! I am at 19 for the year so far! All of these were amazing, by the way and I highly recommend them. I’ve been on an LGBTQ+ kick, if you haven’t noticed 🌈

I’m behind on my squares! Here are two from March. I am now officially obsessed with the Wolfsong (Green Creek) series and Stephen King contributes to the “Goodbye Earl” universe. #booksky

Book 11 of the year! If you’re a fan of Jordan Peele’s movies, you’ll love this. ‘Nuff said. #booksky

A 6th grader just sincerely read Socrates as “so-krates” and I lost my shit. #teacbersky #booksky

MY LITTLE GOLDEN BOOK ABOUT PRIDE comes out today and I'm feeling extremely Ralph Wiggum "I'm in danger" about it. It's beautiful though and I love it no matter what they say

@stephenking.bsky.social been looking for a hard cover copy of this for YEARS. Finally found one in a an old Book Barn in PA over the weekend!

Remember: today is the economic blackout! Do not buy ANYTHING unless it is absolutely necessary and/or you are buying from a small business. #economicblackout

My 8th square! I’ve been watching Little Women at Yule for the past few years but I had never read it before. Boy, do I wish I had read it as a teen to compare! I loved this cozy book about sisters. And, as a new mom, Marmie hit me really hard. 💚

share.newsbreak.com/bme4kx29 How sad. Indiana wants to stop free books for kids. #FUINDIANA

I finished this last week and had so much fun reading it! What happens to the heroes AFTER they save the realm? Growth, therapy, and facing your demons. Highly recommend ⚔️🌹

The poetry of Duolingo’s marketing team killing off Duo by being killed by a Cybertruck is unmatched.

TAZ: Balance can still make me belly laugh even in these trying times. Thank you, @themcelroyfamily.bsky.social for being the one thing to put a smile on my face this week (aside from the love of my little fam, of course).

John and I started reading this book together in December. Whenever we got a chance, we’d read out loud to each other in the evenings a chapter, trading off. This was such a delight to read with my partner. It had the cheesiness of a holiday romcom but with depth and actual stakes. Oh, and 🌶️!

The baby just wants to be clothed and fed. Come on, guy 🙄

A student just pointed at me and yelled, “You’re too nice for your own good!” All I did was say someone’s squishy stress toy was cute 🙃

Next square! This Is How You Lose the Time War was a beautifully poetic love story set in a futuristic yet earthy atmosphere. Highly recommend ✨

Poll: Do I count rereads towards my crochet book project? Also, do I count books I’ve read with my students (ex. Goosebumps)?

Square 3! This book was delightful. And filthier than I thought it was it was going to be. But at the same time, cozy? Yea. Super cozy.

Square number two! This book was a crazy onion of a read. I’m still thinking about it . . . 💭

The first granny square of my book project! This year, for each book I read, I will be crocheting a granny square. Depending on how far I get, it’ll either turn into a blanket or a sweater. (This situation was amazing, btw.)
