The whole fixation on “guilt” is a giveaway. Colonial apologists focus on their feelings rather than the fact that the legacies of global imperialism as practiced by European nations continue to shape the world today. And we ought to consider that when studying our histories.

Just because the US absolves itself of its own crimes doesn’t mean the rest of the world operates in that manner. The existence of Trump is the consequence of a country existing outside international law and accountability. We need a return to actual justice and the promise of international law.

The IDF & Netanyahu do not exist without the support of a large portion of their country, just as Putin & Z troops do not exist without the support of a large portion of theirs. This is why international law matters, it doesn’t matter how many back a criminal or crime; there are laws & consequences.
