๐ƒ๐‚ ๐”๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ž๐ There's one DP in DC. He's really good. The goalkeeping should be way better this year than last. But, man, it's hard to believe in this team in 2025. www.backheeled.com/dc-united-20...

So, we are probably still a year away from seeing a fully formed vision/version of Troy/Ally's D.C. United. What will keep me invested is: 1. continued buy in from the players 2. continued investment from ownership 3. continued growth of Troy as a coach Check those boxes and I'll be patient.

United has traded 100k in general allocation money this year to LA Galaxy for 125k gam in 2026.

Kijima has been fabulous: technical, silky, rangy, assertive. Nice offseason pickup for D.C. United.

Unwinding the Klich contract and opening a DP slot was as easy as a buyout and having a DP move ready to go. They chose not to do that. Thatโ€™s unforgivable to me. Itโ€™s a delay they canโ€™t afford. The mechanism is there, Levien wonโ€™t use it, and Mackay/Lesesne donโ€™t have the pull to change his mind.

I get that (re)building a roster that fits the coach and GM's vision doesn't happen overnight - but they had better hit on what they've already brought in, and hit on whatever summer acquisitions. Clock is already ticking. There is zero reservoir of fanbase goodwill...

Sure, it's good business, but at some point, there has to be a team with players to cheer for. It's Vamos United, not Vamos Excel.
